In a nutshell, we don’t offer walks, we offer time.
When you book with Paddywhacks you are booking time for your dog. Our time to take care of your dog, not just walk him/her. It’s the greeting we give them, usually mirrored by the greeting they give us (think oodles of excitement, tails up and wagging like mad, that gorgeous little mini-jump with the front paws type excitement); it’s the conversation we have with them (how are you? Have you been a good boy/girl? Has mummy/daddy been behaving themselves? Did you have visitors at the weekend? I know the weather is crap but we don’t mind a bit of rain do we? Are you ready for a wonderful W-A-L-K?); it’s the mutual excitement to get out on the road, to breath in the open air, for the freedom of walking; it’s the chit chat had on walks, catching up, appreciation for the scenery, sights and smells; it’s the walk home, the towelling down, the long goodbye, the hugs, the cuddles, the see-you-tomorrows. This is what you are paying for. This is the service your dog is getting. Baseline, it’s a walk, a pop-in, a toilet break and a friendly face, but in reality it is so much more than that.
Getting to know you and your dog
We arrange a mutually convenient Meet and Greet for both myself, your allocated walker and your dog (you too of course) so we can all get to know each other and see if we are the right fit (that goes for everyone) and if all are happy, we take it from there! Client-owners are invited to a What’s app group where walkers share relevant information and photos from walks. Any questions can also be answered in here as your walker and myself will be part of the group.
So there you have it! Our services may be broken down into time capsules but the time can be used however you would like for your dog. We offer walking, playing, toileting, feeding, watering, fussing and loving and we are happy to follow your routine as far as possible so always be sure to give us as much information as possible.
